Terms and Conditions

By registering for and participating in any Grand Athletics event, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully, as they constitute a binding agreement between you and Grand Athletics.

Eligibility and Registration

All participants must register using their legal name and accurate date of birth. Entries submitted under false information or by unauthorized persons may be rejected or lead to disqualification. Registrations are only valid when completed through official Grand Athletics channels.

Registration Fees, Refunds, and Transfers

All registration fees are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable unless the event is canceled by Grand Athletics. In the event of cancellation, participants will receive a full refund or credit at Grand Athletics’ discretion. Transfers to other events or participants are prohibited unless expressly authorized.

Event Scheduling and Modifications

Grand Athletics reserves the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, combine heats, or cancel events due to weather, safety concerns, venue restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified promptly of any such changes.

Code of Conduct and Grounds for Disqualification

Participants agree to adhere to all event rules, display good sportsmanship, and comply with instructions from officials and staff. Disqualification may occur for unsportsmanlike behavior, use of ineligible pacers (e.g., male pacers in female-only record-eligible races), unauthorized footwear or equipment, falsification of information, or any violation of event policies. Race officials’ decisions are final and binding.

Timing, Results, and Rankings

Event timing may be conducted using electronic systems, manual methods, or a combination thereof. Published results may include participants’ names, ages, performances, and divisions. By participating, you consent to the public release of your race data for ranking purposes, media publications, and promotional use.

Media Release

Participation grants Grand Athletics and its partners the right to photograph, record, broadcast, and use your name, image, voice, and performance for promotional, commercial, or educational purposes worldwide without compensation.

Liability and Risk Assumption

Participants acknowledge the inherent risks of athletic events, including injury, illness, or property damage, and voluntarily assume all such risks. You agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Grand Athletics, its staff, volunteers, sponsors, venue owners, and affiliates from any liability arising from your participation, including claims caused by negligence.

Spectators, Coaches, Staff, and Guests

All non-participating individuals attending Grand Athletics events, including but not limited to spectators, coaches, parents, volunteers, vendors, media, and guests, attend at their own risk and agree to release Grand Athletics and associated parties from liability for any injury, loss, or damage sustained on event premises. Presence at the venue constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Compliance with Laws and Venue Policies

Participants and attendees must comply with all applicable laws, venue rules, and Grand Athletics policies. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event and denial of future participation.

Privacy

Personal information collected during registration will be handled in accordance with the Grand Athletics Privacy Policy, available at https://grandathletics.org. By registering, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described therein.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from participation in Grand Athletics events shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction within California.
